Finishing the Course, and a Little More

river

September – October – early November

The fall semester usually includes topics that are important to the savvy participant, including the more difficult hike, and to the future hike leader:

1) Hiking Convocations and Competitions. Registration of sports categories.

2) Psychology in a tourist group (review)

3) topics on the organization of the work of children’s tourist and local history association at the request of students
(according to the old tradition of our school, of course, we will tell)

3) Repetition of topics learned during the spring semester – so that you don’t forget them, but learn them really well!

4) Practical exercises on various course topics – with the same purpose!

5) Credit classes.
(they will be told to the students separately)

6) Some bonuses
(also about them later separately)

Writing a report on the educational-training hike – joint efforts of listeners-participants of this hike.

At trainings we work out:

  • all the same things we did in the spring semester (we repeat and improve our knowledge and skills),
  • and what turns out to be especially necessary for this group of listeners.

Hike

We may have 1 or 2 day hikes.
But more often we have trainings in the fall – also for 1 or 2 days, but it’s not hiking, but rather training with the goal to practice those or other specific skills. For example, first aid in the field.

Summing up

The exam for the school’s basic level course in hiking
